- Maple demo interpolating an
*2N-1*degree polynomial thru the*2N*points:*(0,0), (1,0), (2,0), (3,0), ... (N-1,0), (N,1),**(N+1,1), (N+2,1), ... (2N-1,1)*. The polynomial oscillates wildly especially near the ends. As*N*increases, the oscillations gets worse. This shows that you don't want to use hi-degree interpolations.
